Imagine by John Lennon

John Lennon Praha wall - imagine

the John Lennon praha wall

Imagine by John Lennon (I got here some information about this song ) was written and recorded in 1971 and it’s lyrics encourage the listener to imagine a world at peace without the barriers of borders or the divisiveness of religions and nationalities, and to consider the possibility that the focus of humanity should be living a life unattached to material possessions. It’s also listed among the best 500 songs of all times by the magazine Rolling Stones. I love it and really believe it’s words should be a whish for anyone.

Imagine by John Lennon :

Imagine there’s no heaven
It’s easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people
Living for today…

Imagine there’s no countries
It isn’t hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace…

You may say I’m a dreamer
But I’m not the only one
I hope someday you’ll join us
And the world will be as one

Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world…

You may say I’m a dreamer
But I’m not the only one
I hope someday you’ll join us
And the world will live as one
